What a powerhouse run! Avishai Cohen and his trio absolutely crushed their October tour across France and Switzerland, leaving a trail of packed and sold-out venues in their wake. It was a wonderful journey, confirming the intense connection between the music and all the loyal fans. |

The Tourcoing Jazz Festival was a perfect example, where, as La Voix du Nord raved: “In a nearly sold-out Colisée… the double bassist demonstrated the power of music… jazz without borders, accessible, travelling, and adventurous.” |
The tour reached a stunning climax in Lugano, Switzerland, with an exceptional weekend. Avishai treated the audience to two distinct and unforgettable performances. The first night offered a luxurious sonic experience with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra again, providing deluxe support for the symphonic presentation of pieces from the album Two Roses. Avishai then closed the weekend with an intimate trio setting, delivering a masterful performance. Corriere del Ticino praised the trio’s “dialogues, cadences, and improvisations” for having the “vital grace of crystal-clear performances.” |
